In this issue we see Velma and Shaggy on a movie date! After that, the gang is hired by a crazy old dude to venture into the jungle to find the fabled "Fountain of Youth"

First up is a cute little short story...
Aww, its cute that he tried to feign bravery for her. ^_^
....wait. Why the heck did the old lady bring a chicken to the movies!? Was that trendy in the 1970s? Were chickens the 70s equivalent of those yappy chihuahuas that modern day vapid, spoiled rich girls like to carry in their handbags? Is the old lady just crazy?
Oh well, lets just move on to our feature presentation....
I love the way Velma get's the gang's priorities straight. XD
Note: I don't know if this was the case in the 1970s; but "midget" is actually an offensive term for little people today. So it's pretty uncomfortable to see it repeated over and over in this story. >_<
I understand that Fred doesn't want to see the fountain fall into evil hands. But I think blowing it up might be just a little extreme!
This ending would be happy if not for the fact that the little person is going to age rapidly and horribly (remember, he's been around for 150 years) and die within a few weeks. I hope he was smart enough to put some of that magic water in a canteen before Fred filled the fountain with dynamite. I'd like to think that he was able to enjoy that million dollars before he started aging again. :(
That ending was a bummer. Lets move on to something happy and cool!
